In 2006, Brick Township, Ocean County, NJ, was named “America's Safest City” from a census of 371 cities nationally. This was the result of the 13th annual survey completed by Morgan Quinton Research and Publishing Company (Lawrence, KS). As a result of Brick Township's close distance to major cities such as New York and Philadelphia and the attraction of the Atlantic Ocean, Ocean County is one of the fastest growing areas in New Jersey.
