$7,000.00 U.S. List Price

The PDW-V1, Mobile Deck, is a compact and lightweight unit, offered as an affordable solution for playing back Professional Discs as well as for AV and data file recording through its Ethernet or i-LINK (AV/C and File Access Mode) interface. It has been designed for field applications, and for desktop viewing by journalists, producers, and other production staff. A unique feature is its built-in 3.5-inch type color LCD screen, allowing users to view recording files any time, anywhere without the need for an external video monitor. Also, PDW-V1 is equipped with a VGA output capability, so users can view recording files on standard computer displays. It can be AC or battery powered, covering both field and in-house operation. Playback DVCAM and MPEG IMX (30, 40, 50Mbps). Because it allows high-speed transfer of proxy AV data, it can also serve as a cost-effective editing solution in conjunction with external NLE. Proxy file can be transferred up to 30 times faster than real-time, and IMX/DVCAM file 0.5-2.5 times faster than real-time. In the combination with external PC, annotation, script and/or EDL can be created by using proxy video & audio and sent back to disc through network. The Sony XDCAM series of Optical Disc products will have 7 years "Powertrain" Warranty for its laser block. This "Powertrain" Warranty is unprecedented for Sony and demonstrates the confidence Sony has in its XDCAM products.
