SupportNET MAX
Sony Introduces MAXTM:
Your Affordable Program for Studio Camera and Switcher Parts and Monitoring.
Maximize Performance, Minimize Operating Costs.
Sony introduces a new SupportNETsm approach to camera and switcher service for Sony customers who have staff engineers on-site. It's called MAX: Module Advance eXchange. MAX is designed to save you money as it helps to keep your studio cameras and broadcast or production switchers running at MAXimum productivity.
MAX is a cost-effective, rapid-response alternative to full on-site labor and parts support programs. It gives you 24/7/365 access to trained engineer phone support. And it ships the modules and parts you need with overnight priority, to maximize your uptime.
The Sony MAX Program provides all these advantages:
For Sony's studio cameras and MVS-8000/DVS-9000 series switchers. With MAX, your product operation is handled by your own on-site engineers -- with fast, expert support from Sony’s 24/7/365 telephone technical support, monitoring, overnight parts delivery and certification training2 for your on-site personnel if needed.
High-speed delivery of the parts you need. Modules and parts are supplied by Sony via overnight priority shipping for next business day delivery1.
A local server supplied and supported by Sony. The MAX Program includes a local server that monitors and tracks your switcher activity -- along with one-time installation and setup of your system3. Sony provides the PC, cabling and wiring harness; you supply the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and connectivity.
3 levels of monitoring support. The provided PC monitors your equipment activity to pinpoint the source of any problem related to operations, software or hardware. Depending on the needs of your operation, Sony can provide whatever level monitoring support you need: 1) live 24/7/365 monitoring; 2) conditional monitoring; 3) e-mailing system logs to Sony at time of diagnosis. The more connectivity, the faster the response time.
Expert Sony training and certification. The MAX Program requires that your on-site engineers be certified by Sony. If needed, Sony will provide on-site training at the time of installation and setup for an additional charge.
Fast, flexible support from the industry leader. Sony has decades of experience in serving the needs of customers in a wide range of broadcast studio and field operations.

WRAL-TV Testimonial
"Our Sony MVS-8000 production switcher is an integral part of our daily operation, so keeping it up and running is critical.
Initially I looked into a full parts and labor SupportNET agreement. Since I have qualified engineers on staff, the labor component is not something I need. So I was pleased to learn about the new "parts only" program called Module Advance eXchange (MAX).
The Sony MAX program offers a way to combine the skills of my onsite engineers with Sony's technical support and system monitoring, to create a cost effective SupportNET solution. MAX gives me 24x7x365 trained phone support, plus overnight parts coverage.
In addition to great service, I now have a predictable cost of ownership for my Sony MVS-8000."
