FIU-710:
Combining Biometrics and PKI for Better Security
CLICK

The FIU-710 Puppy from Sony Electronics
is a highly portable, ideal means of authenticating
a user via his or her fingerprint--something that cannot
be lost or forgotten, like a password or an access card.
Unique in the market, the USB/RS232-based FIU-710 is
equipped to match and store fingerprints on-board so
that user privacy is assured. Additionally, the FIU710
can operate like a fingerprint-secured smart card or
token, in that fingerprint authentication can trigger
an on-board cryptographic processor, allowing it to
interoperate with any PKI on the market today via standard
interfaces like PKCS#11 and CryptoAPI. (more)

FIU-600 Trusted Fingerprint Reader:
Increasing Flexibility and Value
CLICK
HERE FOR A BROCHURE
The FIU-600 was designed by Sony to widen our product
offering to account for the numerous applications, such
as HIPAA compliance and homeland security, which may
need to accommodate a biometric device that can support
both matching on-board as well as off-board / central
database-type matching. The USB-based FIU-600 features
an upgraded version of the technology first deployed
on the FIU-710, but omits the crypto capabilities for
cost-savings, and adds the ability to export templates
and scan high-quality fingerprint images. In this way,
the FIU-600 is interoperable with many third-party fingerprint
matching algorithms and software on the market.
